Gut Health, the Key to Overall Well-being with Dr. Lara May - From Chaos to Peace

A happy and in balance gut resolves many issues that seem connected to other organ systems in the body, but actually come back to your gut.

I am talking with Dr. Lara May about gut health and you might be wondering what that has to do with decluttering.

Well first of all, we will hear what foods she suggests we declutter out of our diet in order to have a healthy gut.

Also, Science has made big discoveries that the gut is actually way more connected to our brain than they originally thought. The health of your gut has a big impact on your overall well-being.

As I have discussed before, a cluttered environment can lead to stress, and stress can lead to bad eating habits and vice-versa.

I say Decluttering is Self-love and making sure we put the right nutrition into our body and declutter / detox / let go of the foods that make us sick is also self-love.

Dr. Lara's passion has grown from “band-aid medicine” (how she calls it) into empowering women to truly heal themselves on the physical, mental & spiritual levels.

They are now starting to call the gut the second brain, because so many of our neurotransmitters and our hormones are actually made in our GI track

and then are transported to our brain. Seratonin, Melatonin... all of these things that are so instrumental in how we feel
