In the last three weeks, we first explored the fire element in episode 236, then the earth element in episode 237, last week in episode 238 the Air element and in today’s episode, we dive into the last of the four, the water element, the Feeling type and how the Dolphin animal Ally can help you get organized.
A Quick Recap
of the concept I covered in Your Natural Blueprint (episode 235)
There are 4 elements, based on astrology and ancient traditions, and they align with archetypes found in renown Carl Jung’s psychology work.
- Fire element, fire types are the go-getters full of passion, energy and drive. They are what Carl Jung called the Intuition Type and I assigned them the Animal Ally Dragon. I jumped into the Fire types in episode and blog 236.
- Earth element and types are steady and dependable, Carl Jung called them Sensation Type and I assigned them with the Animal Ally Tortoise. We dug deeper on the element earth in episode and blog 237
- Air element and types are the dreamers and thinkers, the Thinking Type according to Carl Jung and I assigned the Hummingbird as their Animal Ally. We fly high in the element air in this blog in a minute...but first the last element is the
- Water element, the water types or Feeling Types according to Jung, they are intuitive and empathetic, and I assigned the Dolphin as their Animal Ally. We dive into that energy in episode 239
Most of us are a mix of all four elements, while one is often dominant. Understanding your dominant element can help us embrace our natural strengths and tendencies without feeling like we need ‘fixing ourselves’ or that we are put in a box. We're already free and whole, we just need to learn to work with our natural strengths and stop fighting against ourselves and our innate nature.
If you’re wondering now what your dominant element could, I’ve created a fun quiz that helps you find out. I’ll share how to access it at the end. Ok, now
Let’s dive into the Water Element, the Feeling Type, and its Dolphin Ally
If Water is your dominant element, you're likely intuitive and empathetic, you are deeply connected to your emotions and relationships, which makes you great at understanding others. On the flip side you might find it hard to stay motivated or you struggle with procrastination because things easily feel overwhelming Does that sound familiar?
Let's dig deeper
The Strengths of Water Types
Water types are intuitive and adaptable. When this energy is healthy and balanced, they’re empathetic and perceptive, and they create harmony within any relationship and environment. They're deep emotional intelligence makes them exceptionally sensitive to other's needs,
- they rely on gut feelings and emotional awareness when making decisions which often leads to insightful choices
- they are sensitive to the energy in any space, and they have a knack for understanding unspoken dynamics
- they are highly adaptable and ajust to changing circumstances with ease
- they seek and prioritize balance and tranquility and therefore aim to create a sense of calm in their surroundings
With that in mind, I’ve chosen the Dolphin as the Animal Ally for the Water element. Dolphins embody empathy, fluidity and intelligence, reflecting the Water type's ability to adapt and connect deeply
The Challenges of Water Types
However, just as Water is fluid and adaptable, it can also be sentimental and indecisive
- Water types often have difficulty letting go of things due to emotional attachment, which can lead to holding onto things, tasks, or projects and also thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve them.
- They can get caught up in their thoughts and emotions, which can sometimes lead procrastinate or even pausing a projects.
- They may become overwhelmed or drained when things don’t go as planned, resulting in procrastination and avoidance.
Their key challenge is learning to prioritize progress over emotional attachment, reduce stress by focusing on their intuition, shifting from analysis or self-doubt to trusting their gut feelings, which helps them move forward in a way that feels more natural and less forced, which helps create and maintain steady progress.
3 Tips for Air Types to Get and Stay Organized
if your dominant element is water you thrive in harmonious environments and benefit from consistent, gentle progress. Here are three tips for organizing without feeling overwhelmed:
- Set emotional boundaries differenciate between items with sentimental value and those with practical use. This will help them make clearer decisions and reduce the emotional weight of decluttering, while still respecting what’s truly meaningful.
- Take Action break down tasks into smaller manageable steps so that the process feels more approachable. Taking small steady action steps helps prevent overwhelm and keeps them progressing more comfortably
- Seek Support share your journey with a trusted friend, family member or a coach who can provide encouragement and accountability. Having a supportive person helps you stay on track, especially when decision-making feels tough.

3 Mini-Tasks to Jumpstart Organization Projects
To get you started, here are a few mini-tasks tailored to Water types:
- Create a calming ritual: Before each work session, try a calming ritual—such as deep breathing for a minute, two or three, or light your favorite candle—to create a peaceful, focused mindset.
- Tasks to keep you grounded: Each morning make a quick list of tasks ranked by importance and urgency. This will keep you grounded in what matters most and help you avoid feeling overwhelmed.
- Reflect and Recharge: Then end each day with a brief reflection, noting what went well and any positive feelings that came up. This practice builds emotional balance and helps you feel connected to your progress.
This leads to my
Bonus Tip: the importance of self-care!
Air types take on too much and often feel scattered so they too need time to ground themselves and refuel their energy.
Unlike fire types, who recharge through moving their body, Earth types who find renewal in grounding activities, or air types who center themselves through breath and voice, Water types need quiet moments that help them process and release emotional tension.
- spend time in nature to offload your emotional baggage. allow yourself a moment to let go of anything that's weighing you down. Feel how nature and the natural surroundings absorb any stress or emotional buildup
- set an alarm 3x a day as a reminder to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and notice what you're feeling in that moment. Allow yourself to simply observe wihtout judgment, and if it helps, write down your feelings in a journal. take a bath with sea salt (epson = muscle relax) in the dark, no phone, no music, just allowing to feel what you feel. 15 minutes 3x a week
- take a bath with Epson or sea salt (epson = muscle relax), create a calm and sensory experience, best in quet and darkness, let yourself fully relax and connect with your emotions. Doing this a few times a week can be very grounding and restorative.
Introspection and Reflection
After some quiet moments and releasing emotional baggage you can reflect on these questions:
How is the element water, the Dolphin, showing up in your life and business for better or worse? Think about where your emotional depth and adaptability enhance your life and where they may create challenges.
How do you intentionally use your strengths of empathy and intuition?Consider how these strengths benefit you and those around you and where you might deepen your intentional use of them.
Where do Water’s challenges, like overwhelm or procrastination, hold you back? Reflect on instances where emotions or delays may have hindered progress, and explore ways to balance these tendencies for positive outcomes.
